I watched the movie The Hurricane last nite, if you do not know it, it is a movie starring Denzel Washington, where he gets convicted of a murder he never committed and the cops cover up the evidence. This to me was one of denzel's best roles of all time. He plays his character extremely well, showing so much pain and anger that man in jail for 20 years would. My favorite seen is when Denzel tries to convince his lawyer and the warden from the prison to try and go to the federal courts and appeal the new evidence his friends found out. In this scene Denzel gets extremely angry when they tell him he needs to wait for more evidence because he has been in jail for almost his whole life. His emotions are unbelievably real and make me feel for his character. What makes the movie even better is it is a true story and comes out to happy ending with justice being served and the man is let out of jail for no wrong doing. I have always been a huge Denzel fan but this film made me put him over the age as one of the best actors ever.

Winter Olympics
I have been watching some of the winter olympics lately and they have been really interesting. I like the way they are approaching them this year with the more popular sports on in prime time. I watched the women down hill skiing and the men snowboarding halfpipe competition. The men snowboarders are some crazy guys I must say these guys on some tricks were getting up to 20 feet in the air which to me is unimaginable. If I were to do even try to attempt any trick even if it was a 5 foot jump I would be scared. Even the woman's down hill skiing was pretty intense, one woman took a vicious spill something that looked really painful yet she walked away uninjured. I think people do not understand how tough these olympians really are. I was actually really suprised when I heard the number of viewers that these olympic games were getting. ESPN compared the winter games to American Idol and the winter games had more viewers, thirty million to eighteen million!

Must be nice to be a weatherman
After this big hooplah of talk about this humongous nor'easter I noticed this morning and even still now that there is barely any snow outside. This honestly frustrates me because me like most people was prepared for there to be a blizzard yet its only a dusting. Which brings me to my point it must be nice to have a job on tv were over 50% of the time you are wrong and are lying to your audience and oo yea get paid for it as well.

Super bowl and Media adds
I find it extremely interesting how so many high name companies pay millions to to advertise for 30 seconds on the Superbowl. Granted I understand it is the biggest watched event every year but I am pretty sure people still watch just as much television every other day and still see image lasting commercials that they will remember more than the Superbowl. The only reason I say they will remember them more is not because they are more entertaining or funny than the Superbowl commercials(because we all know that is what they're known for) but because they get played hundreds of times over and over again till we can recite them in our sleep. I personally do not think the Superbowl ads are worth it because you can pay for a regular time slot and just have the commercial played hundreds of times for the same price as one 30 second commercial during the game and it would be a lot more affective.
